About Glass River Analytics
Independent. Michigan-based, nationally focused. Built specifically for this problem.
Glass River Analytics was founded on a simple premise: employers should be able to understand and verify their pharmacy benefit costs with clarity and confidence.
In many benefit arrangements, there is limited visibility into how PBM pricing works or how costs compare to market benchmarks. An independent review provides a clearer view of that information and supports more informed decision-making.
Glass River Analytics operates solely on behalf of the plan sponsor. We do not receive compensation from PBMs, carriers, or other third parties. Our work is focused on analyzing the data and presenting findings in a clear, objective way.
Meet the Founders
Kaitlyn Boughton
Kaitlyn has a clinical background in healthcare and is currently completing her training in nurse anesthesia, where she has gained a detailed understanding of how treatment decisions intersect with cost structures across the system. Her experience led to a deeper interest in the financial and administrative layers that influence pharmacy pricing and benefit design.
She founded Glass River Analytics after identifying a gap in independent analysis available to employers navigating PBM relationships. Her approach combines healthcare insight with structured data analysis to provide plan sponsors with a clearer view of pharmacy spend and contract dynamics.
Matthew Miller
Matt started Glass River Analytics after spending more than a decade inside the kinds of financial, operational, and vendor-management systems most companies depend on but rarely have time to fully inspect. His background spans consulting, logistics, pricing, compliance, and financial reporting, with experience supporting organizations from a regional food distributor to Fortune 500 clients.
Early in his career, while working on SOX controls at a regional grocery distribution center, Matt saw how much effort companies put into internal controls and audit discipline. Over time, he noticed a disconnect: the same level of scrutiny was often missing from complex vendor relationships, especially where intermediaries were managing major areas of spend.
Glass River Analytics applies that audit mindset to pharmacy benefits. The company helps brokers and employers independently review PBM performance, uncover cost leakage, and turn complicated pharmacy benefit data into clear reporting that supports accountability.
How we operate
Glass River Analytics operates as an independent analytics and fiduciary compliance firm. We accept no commissions, override payments, or compensation of any kind from PBMs, pharmacy networks, or carriers. Every engagement is paid for solely by the plan sponsor we are serving.
Our analysis methodology is built on publicly available federal benchmarking data (NADAC, published by CMS), your plan's own claims data, and the terms of your existing PBM contract. We do not rely on proprietary PBM data or industry surveys that may themselves carry conflicts.
We carry professional liability (errors and omissions) insurance and operate in compliance with applicable business and professional services regulations.
